ON STAGE

Sweating and shaking,
waiting to leave for school.
The stage awaits.

Light blue lights,
curtains go up.
My puppet goes up.

Our puppets are black and white.
People waiting for the first
line to be said.

A very colorful rainbow stage,
vibrating like a volcano.
Lots of people staring at you.

TOO WONDERFUL TO TELL......

Strike three you’re out!
Thetford Green gave a scream and ran about.
I had hit a home run and struck out.
That’s when Orford got to run about.
The coach started to shout,
I saved the shut out.
I was playing catcher,
I jumped on the runner.
"You’re out!" yelled the umpire.
The runner thought he was a liar.
It was a good call,
And that’s all!

DIRT BIKE

I was riding my dirt bike,
the engine was loud.
My driveway is rocky,
I’m driving too fast.

I hit a bump---
SMASH!!!!!
My bike fell on me!

I lift up the bike,
bruised and scratched.
Burns from the engine
on my legs.

I park my bike,
but I will ride again
another day.

SHERMAN

A wet tongue wakes me up.
Sherman is ready to play.
Tail wagging,
nose pressed against the door,
waiting to go outside.

He had a sock,
I grabbed onto it.
We played tug-of –war---
Sherman won!

Sherman got breathing problems.
He started to lie around a lot.
He took medicine.

I made a mistake.
I brought Sherman into the house.
The cap was off his medicine.

Mom forgot to
put it back on.
I wanted to help.

I dumped the pills
into Sherman’s dish.
Sherman died!
I was only two,
but I remember.

TOO HORRIBLE TO TELL

I was a baby
and only two.
I fell off the couch
and said, "Ouch!"
I hit the table,
my nose was bleeding.
Off to the doctor’s
to get some stitches,
they were the worst itches
I ever had!

THE WEREWOLF

Red cat,
haunted house.
Sam and I
hide from the werewolf.

He looks for us
behind the couch.
We run down cellar.

Spiders, bats, and Count Dracula
wait for us there.
We hide in the trash can--
Then Kati came and woke me up!
