MOONLESS SHINE

The nightly ritual
Is the timeless breath
My time is now
My time has come
With the nightly breeze
At my back

This time of darkness
Is my time of glory
I breathe once again
And the clouds disappear
The moon sings out
The stars rejoice
And with this song
Comes the nightly sign

With the sun
My eyes open once again
Life has brought
The sun itself
And with a sigh
I breathe in deeply
I squint and stretch
With the morning light

Morning light shows no time
Time is the slumber
Of the night
Night is the shadow
By the sleeping minds
Minds of thought

Thoughts of happiness
Thoughts of courage
Thoughts of time

Fire engages in a harmony
With life’s colours of glory.
The arson of time puts
Its song of heat
Into a blissful ray of beauty.

Reaching over the heads
Of all that accompanied
The event of shadows and light.
A story of patience is told
In respect to the night’s presents.

You are a miracle of love
and beauty.
Your thoughts... and your eyes
trace out a legacy.
And in this legacy, I see
togetherness.
In all this, every bit of happiness
is an action of our unity.
It's a unity in which love is a
symbol of power between us both.
This holds not only feelings of
togetherness...
happiness... or passion...
it's also the basis of a universe in which
we both share one life... together.
And with this... the legacy is born.
