The poor lions
in Africa are dying of AIDS, and at a pretty rapid rate. Experts are worried that the disease could push the African lion to extinction unless something is done. Lion lentivirus (a version of the HIV virus) was discovered ten years ago, but it makes you wonder when and how it was introduced to the lion population. I think it gives a lot of those biological warfare conspiracy theorists something to go on.
