I just read on gothamist that The Warriors is going to be remade! I can't imagine it getting any better than the rollerskating gang and the gang dressed up like baseball players chasing the very sexy lead and his badass girlfriend all the way to dirty and dangerous Coney Island. I wonder if the new director will somehow work the "If you see something, say something" campaign into the action. Or maybe the chase can lead through the new flagship Williams-Sonoma store in the Time Warner Center. What it lacks in grime, present-day New York makes up for with wholesome family appeal and yuppie paranoia, and that's sure to make a better gang movie.
