Something for the cold, cold winter

girlmask (145k image)

We all wear hats, gloves, stylish coats, and even snow boots sometimes, but what is the best solution for full facial coverage? Surely not those hideous neoprene ski masks that became popular in the 80s (though they are a proven aid to weight loss). Why not try something more horrifying, like the mask in the above picture and its other varieties, all taken from a 1965 issue of McCall's Needlework and Craft? The best part: you knit it yourself and, if you like, add features such as a zipper over the mouth hole.

THIS is the ski-mask to wear when robbing a bank, as long as you remember to take it off before leaving the premises.

Thanks for writing! Write about VH some time, I'm new to the culture, and curious!

I thought you would like it.Unfortunately no, I don't own it, and if I did, I wouldn't know what to do with it. Hmm...
